OUR COVID MEASURES

Of course we all hoped we’d be living in freedom by now and we understand that you might be feeling anxious about attending a bigger gathering. We wanted to let you know that we’ll be doing everything possible to make sure it’s safe for everyone to attend and we’ve added a list of safety measures that we will be taking, so keep reading to find out more and if you have any more questions or concerns before the day please let us know so we can do our best to help.

For the safety of our guests you will not be permitted to attend the wedding if you have had a recent positive test or have been asked to self isolate by NHS track and trace. We ask that if you are exhibiting any symptoms of coronavirus that you do not attend the wedding.

TESTING

We politely ask and strongly recommend that you follow government advice and use a rapid testing kit to test yourselves for coronavirus twice a week and before attending any social gathering, you can order these testing kits for free via this link.

VACCINES

Being vaccinated is the best protection available from coronavirus, all adults in England are now eligible to book a COVID-19 vaccine and we encourage everyone who is able, to book a vaccine to protect yourselves and others, you can book your COVID-19 vaccine here.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Whether we are able to hold the wedding outside or not we have made every effort to ensure there is sufficient space for guests to social distance should they choose to do so. You do not have to social distance from family or friends, this is very much a personal choice.

If the wedding and reception needs to be held indoors due to unfortunate weather, we have seating plans for both the ceremony and reception that will enable guests to socially distance and or sit within their household or support groups.

FACE COVERINGS

By law, face coverings must be worn indoors at Covid-secure venues by anyone who is not eating or drinking, unless you are exempt. Please remember to bring a face covering with you, we will have spares for any that get misplaced or damaged.

The COVID secure venue capacity for indoor seated activity at 1m+ distancing is 150, we will be working to a capacity of 98 which will further enable space to distance if needed. If you are unable to wear a face covering, and or consider yourselves to be medically vulnerable and require a seat at 2m distance from anyone outside your household please let us know ASAP so we can amend the seating plan for you.

EATING AND DRINKING

Following the guidelines set out for our event, venue and catering suppliers we are currently only allowed to consume food and drink whilst seated, whether indoors or outdoors. As our street vendors are not serving alcohol, you will be allowed to collect food from their vans providing you return to a seat to eat. We plan to provide alcohol at the tables, however you will also be allowed into the cafe to get fresh water, make your own hot drinks and to replenish ice buckets.

You absolutely do not have to stay seated for the entire day, and there will be plenty of space away from the main tables to sit and enjoy a drink.

DANCING

There will be no dance floor. Dancing at weddings is strongly advised against, it is not banned. Please use your common sense and be respectful of other guests who may be more vulnerable, wish to remain socially distanced and don’t want to watch you do the worm.

HYGIENE

We should all be used to this by now, but we obviously recommend that guests wash and dry their hands regularly throughout the day and use the hand sanitiser provided before and after eating, drinking or using shared facilities, guest books or games.

CONTACT TRACING

We are required by law to keep a record of attendees for 28 days after the event. In the event you are contacted by NHS track and trace after the event you must follow the regulations on testing and self-isolation to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
